Infosys was founded with a vision to deliver superior quality software solutions to global clients and that vision soon become a reality under Mr. Murthy’s leadership.
One of Mr. Murthy’s most significant contributions to the software industry was the conceptualization and implementation of the Global Delivery Model (GDM). This innovative approach to software development was based on collaborative distributive principles, enabling Infosys to deliver top-notch software solutions to clients across the globe, consistently meeting deadlines and staying within budgets. GDM became the backbone of the Indian software industry, revolutionizing the way software services were delivered.
Mr. Murthy’s forward-thinking didn’t stop at GDM. He introduced the concept of a 24-hour workday to the world, leveraging time zone differences to ensure round-the-clock productivity.
