INS Tabar Completes MPX with Russian Ship Soobrazitelny
Indian Navy’s frontline frigate, INS Tabar, arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, on July 25, 2024, to participate in the 328th Russian Navy Day Parade celebrations. This visit aimed to strengthen the longstanding maritime cooperation and friendship between India and Russia.
On July 30, 2024, INS Tabar successfully conducted a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Russian Navy’s ship Soobrazitelny. The exercise included a series of complex naval maneuvers such as communication drills, search and rescue tactics, and replenishment at sea operations.
The participation of INS Tabar in both the Navy Day Parade and the MPX highlights a significant milestone in the maritime relationship between India and Russia. It underscores the commitment of both nations to maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region.
During the MPX, ships from both navies demonstrated high levels of professionalism and interoperability, reinforcing their effective operational coordination.
The Indian Navy continues to focus on enhancing global partnerships, and the successful MPX with the Russian Navy further solidifies their resolve to foster stronger bilateral naval ties and cooperative efforts in the maritime domain.
