IPL 2026 Playoffs Explained: Qualified Teams, Final Standings, and Rajasthan Royals Qualification
As the IPL now at the climax part, final 4 teams are now officially confirmed for the Playoffs of the IPL 2026. The qualified teams such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals secured the playoffs berth. As the Rajasthan royals defeated the Mumbai Indians they have sealed the last spot in top-4.
On the last day of the league fixtures there were 3 teams in the contention for the 4th spot for playoffs. As Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad has already qualified earlier.
As Punjab Kings remained at 15 points after 6 consecutive loss, Rajasthan need just one win for the playoffs and they did.
With this Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders have been eliminated.
Defending champions of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finished at the top of the IPL 2026 points table.
RCB, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad all ended on the 18 points, but Bengaluru claimed the first place because of superior Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.783.
This will sets up the massive Qualifier 1 showdown between RCB and Gujarat Titans.
The winner will book the direct place in the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad.
3rd place Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had an impressive league campaign and they will face Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.
This is a do or die match for the both team, as the loosing team will be directly eliminated.
And the winner of this fixture will play into the Qualifier 2 for another chance for the final.
