Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, he was transferred to the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In 2019, he served as the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court and later became a Supreme Court judge in September of the same year.
