At the 37th National Games, Hangzhou Asian Games silver medallist Jyothi Yarraji, and Tejas Shirse displayed their athletic prowess, smashing National Games records in the 100m and 110m hurdles events.

Jyothi Yarraji’s Spectacular 100m Hurdles Win

Jyothi Yarraji, a remarkable athlete, broke her own record by finishing the 100m hurdles in just 13.22 seconds. Her incredible speed and technique were on full display, leaving the competition in her wake.

Tejas Shirse’s Record-Breaking 110m Hurdles Triumph

Tejas Shirse initially set the Games record in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.80 seconds during the morning event. In the final, he managed to improve his timing even further, clocking in at an impressive 13.71 seconds.

Priyanka Goswami Sets a New Record

In the 20km walk, Priyanka Goswami displayed her exceptional endurance by breaking the Games record with a finishing time of 1:36:35 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Munita Prajapati.

Vithya Ramraj’s Gold in 400m

Vithya Ramraj of Tamil Nadu secured the gold medal in the 400m event, finishing in just 52.85 seconds. Her performance was outstanding and showcased her incredible speed and stamina.

Thrilling Men’s 400m Race

In the men’s 400m event, K. Avinash of Tamil Nadu clinched the gold medal, leaving the competition behind. Haryana’s Vikrant Panchal and Maharashtra’s Rahul Ramesh Kadam secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Bhavya Sachdeva continued to shine in the 800m women’s freestyle, defending her title by clinching her second successive National Games gold. She achieved a timing of 9:08.60 seconds, improving her own record set the previous year in Gujarat.
