Khelo India Para Games 2025: Anthem, Mascot, and Logo Unveiled in New Delhi
The Khelo India Para Games 2025 is set to take place from March 20 to 27, 2025, across three venues in New Delhi. Ahead of the event, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, launched the official anthem at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The mascot, ‘Ujjwala,’ was introduced by Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Minister of State for Sports. Inspired by the house sparrow, it represents resilience and determination, reflecting the spirit of para-athletes and the vibrant city of Delhi. The Games logo, featuring Delhi landmarks, was unveiled by Devendra Jhajharia, President of the Paralympic Committee of India, and Sminu Jindal, founder of Svayam.
This edition will witness the participation of over 1,300 para-athletes competing in six disciplines, including para-archery, para-athletics, para-badminton, para-powerlifting, para-shooting, and para-table tennis. Top para-athletes, including gold medalist archer Harvinder Singh and high jumper Praveen Kumar, will participate in the tournament. The event follows the Khelo India Winter Games, held earlier this year in Jammu and Kashmir.
