Lakshya Sen clinched the men’s singles title at the 58th Canada Open 2023. In an exhilarating final match, Sen defeated Li Shi Feng, the reigning All England champion, in straight games. This remarkable victory marks Sen’s second BWF World Tour title and adds another prestigious accolade to his growing list of accomplishments. Sen displayed immense talent and ability to excel under pressure and outclassed his opponent, Li Shi Feng, with a score of 21-18 and 22-20.
The victory at the Canada Open 2023 represents Lakshya Sen’s second BWF Super 500 title. His previous triumph came at the India Open in January 2022, further establishing his reputation as one of India’s most promising badminton players. Ranked 19th in the world currently, Sen’s consistent performance and determination have propelled him to achieve significant milestones in his career.

In the semifinals, Sen secured a dominant victory over Kento Nishimoto from Japan, currently ranked 11th in the world.
