Historical Background of Rewari Junction

Rewari railway station was established in 1873 after the construction of the first commercial 1,000 mm (metre-gauge) railway track from Delhi to Rewari by the Rajputana State Railway in 1872. Over the next few years, the railway line was extended to Ajmer and Ahmedabad, increasing Rewari’s importance as a junction.
