India–Mauritius Ties Deepen with Strategic MoUs in 2025
Prime Minister of Mauritius visited India, leading to a significant expansion in bilateral ties through the signing of seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and key announcements across science, space, education, renewable energy, and governance. This visit reflects India’s deepening engagement with the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and its commitment to strategic partnerships with small island developing states like Mauritius.
The signed agreements not only enhance India’s economic and technical footprint in the region but also strengthen mutual cooperation in areas critical for sustainable development and regional security.
India’s Department of Science and Technology and Mauritius’ Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research signed an MoU to strengthen joint research, innovation, and scientific collaboration.
