PETA India is an organization that works to protect animals and stop cruelty towards them. Every year, it honors people who help animals, support a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, and raise awareness about animal rights. These awards inspire others to care for animals and make kind choices in daily life. Many celebrities and young leaders from India have received these awards for their efforts in protecting and respecting animals.
PETA India was started in 2000 and is based in Mumbai. It works to protect animals and stop cruelty against them. The organization has exposed the abuse of animals in circuses, leading to the 2013 ban on using elephants for performances in India. PETA India also raises awareness about animal rights through campaigns, like putting up billboards urging people to go vegan and avoid using leather. These campaigns encourage kindness toward animals and promote a cruelty-free lifestyle.
