Maharashtra Enables Offline e-Crop Registration for Farmers
The Maharashtra state government has introduced a new offline photo upload feature for e-crop registration. This thing is making the process easier for farmers in areas with poor internet connectivity. Announcing the initiative in the state assembly by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. And said farmers can now take photos of their standing crops offline using mobile phones. These images will automatically upload once the network becomes available. The move aims to improve the Digital Crop Survey system and ensure farmers in remote regions.
The Digital Crop Survey (DCS) platform has been activated to improve the e-crop registration Maharashtra system.
The system has been operational since 2021, but it became strictly mandatory from the 2025-26 agricultural season.
