Maharashtra Launches ‘Adishakti Abhiyan’ for Women’s Empowerment
On the historic occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, the Maharashtra government has launched the ‘Adishakti Abhiyan’, a women-centric empowerment campaign. The Maharashtra Cabinet approved the Adishakti Abhiyan during a special session at Choundi, the birthplace of Ahilyabai Holkar, marking her 300th birth anniversary. The campaign is being positioned as a flagship step toward women’s empowerment, aligning with the state’s vision of inclusive governance.
