Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Lav Aggarwal to DGFT, R.K. Agarwal Heads FCI

The Union government has announced a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, appointing senior IAS officers to key economic, energy, and social sector positions. The changes, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), aim to strengthen policy implementation and administrative efficiency across ministries. Among the prominent appointments Lav Aggarwal will take charge as Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) while Rabindra Kumar Agarwal will head the Food Corporation of India (FCI). In total, 25 civil servants have been assigned new responsibilities.

  • Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development
  • Sonal Mishra appointed Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Ministry of Labour & Employment
  • Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
