Mary Earps, one of England’s top football goalkeepers, has decided to retire from International football. She shared this news just before England’s important matches in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. Her retirement means she will not play in the UEFA European Championship in Switzerland this summer.

Earps has won many awards during her career. These include:
She has become a role model for many young players.
With Mary Earps retired, other goalkeepers like Hannah Hampton, Khiara Keating and Anna Moorhouse will join the 26-player squad. They will play important matches against Portugal and Spain to try to reach the knockout stages of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
England’s football team has promised to give Mary a full tribute after the summer to thank her for her amazing contribution to the sport.
