Microsoft Names Aparna Gupta As Leader Of Global Delivery Center

 

In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership team, Microsoft has recently announced the appointment of Aparna Gupta as the new Global Delivery Center (GDC) leader. In this role, Ms. Gupta is set to spearhead customer innovation and delivery excellence, playing a pivotal role in advancing Microsoft’s commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to its global clientele.

GDC: Microsoft’s Delivery Arm

  • Microsoft’s Global Delivery Center (GDC) serves as the delivery arm of Industry Solutions Delivery, with its roots dating back to its establishment in Hyderabad in 2005.
  • Over the years, it has expanded its footprint to include two more locations: Bangalore and Noida.
  • The GDC is a multifaceted entity encompassing four Centers of Excellence (CoE) specializing in app innovation, data and Artificial Intelligence, infrastructure and security, and business applications.
  • Additionally, it oversees crucial functions such as partner and delivery management, along with adoption management.

  • Aparna Gupta brings over 25 years of industry expertise and extensive Microsoft experience to her new role.
  • Having joined Microsoft six years ago as the India lead for Commercial Software Engineering (now ISE), she has consistently made a positive impact on the business.

Aparna’s Key Roles at Microsoft

  • Before leading GDC, Aparna served as the Executive Director for Customer Success at Microsoft India & South Asia, guiding customers in realizing business value from their investments in the Microsoft cloud platform.
  • Prior roles include her position as General Manager, India for Commercial Software Engineering (CSE), where she facilitated high-impact organizations and developer communities in leveraging Microsoft’s intelligent cloud and edge.
