Ministry of MSME’s ‘Shramdaan Event’ for a ‘Garbage-Free India’

On 1st October 2023, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) took a significant step towards realizing the vision of a “Garbage Free India.” Aligning with the national initiative championed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, a unique event titled ‘Shramdaan’ was organized by the Ministry. The event aimed to foster a spirit of collective responsibility and action, bringing together participants from various MSME offices nationwide.

“Garbage Free India” The focal theme of ‘Shramdaan’ revolved around the concept of “Garbage Free India.” Emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, the event sought to engage citizens in proactive measures for a cleaner and healthier nation.

Development Facilitation Office, Okhla, Phase-1, New Delhi The event unfolded at the Development Facilitation Office, Okhla, Phase-1, New Delhi, serving as the central hub for the cleanliness drive. Participants gathered at this location, symbolizing a microcosm of the broader nationwide effort.

  1. National Call to Action: The event responded to the national call made by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, urging every citizen to contribute their time and effort towards the cause of cleanliness. This call, encapsulated as “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath,” inspired the ‘Shramdaan’ initiative.

  2. Concerted Effort for a Cleaner India: ‘Shramdaan’ epitomized a united and concerted effort.
