India has a total of six Miss World titles to its name. The journey began in 1966 when Reita Faira claimed the first-ever Miss World crown for India. following that groundbreaking win, India secured the Miss World title again in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2017.

Miss World 2023 in India

The Miss World 2023 pageant, the 71st edition of the competition, is scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India, on 16th December 2023. This marks the second time that India has had the honor of hosting this prestigious event. The reigning titleholder, Karolina Bielawska from Poland, will pass on her crown to the new Miss World at the end of the competition.

The Miss World is headquartered in London, England and is currently led by Julia Morley as its President. The current Miss World titleholder for 2022 is Karolina Bielawska from Poland.

India has consistently taken part in the Miss World Competition, achieving victory several times. Winning the Femina Miss India competition grants the winner the opportunity to represent India in the Miss World event.
