Most Wickets in T20 World Cup 2026: Highest Wicket-Takers List
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 witnessed thrilling contests as some of the world’s best white-ball bowlers battled to finish as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker. Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the 10th edition of the tournament was played across multiple venues in the subcontinent, where bowlers had to quickly adapt to different conditions.
Some pitches offered spin-friendly surfaces, while others were high-scoring grounds with shorter boundaries. Despite these challenges, several bowlers delivered match-winning performances throughout the tournament.
One of the standout bowling performances came from Romario Shepherd of West Indies, who registered the best bowling figures of the tournament with 5/20 against Scotland. Meanwhile, UAE pacer Junaid Siddique was the only other bowler to take a five-wicket haul, finishing with 5/35 against Canada.
At the top of the wicket-taking charts were India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakaravarthy, who both finished the tournament with 14 wickets each. The Indian duo overtook USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk, who had earlier dominated the bowling charts with impressive performances, including two consecutive four-wicket hauls in his opening matches.
Bumrah eventually sealed his place at the top after delivering a crucial four-wicket haul against New Zealand in the final, helping India lift the trophy and finishing as one of the leading wicket-takers of the tournament.
