Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with chapters of 8 countries of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) at the 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas convention. The event was held at MP Tourism Pavilion at Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore.
The MoUs were signed with France Metropole Paris, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Martinique, Sri Lanka, GOPOI International, Malaysia, and Mauritius.
Madhya Pradesh is a blend of architectural grandeur, unexplored destinations, and cultural values. It is packed with rich heritage and is known for its numerous monuments, palaces, fortresses, stupas, diverse wildlife, beautiful Asian temples, and hill stations. Madhya Pradesh tourism includes UNESCO-approved World Heritage Sites such as Khajuraho Group of Monuments, Sanchi Stupa, and the Rock shelter of Bhimbetka. There are 25 wildlife sanctuaries and six tiger reserves in the state. The state is also known as the “Tiger State of India.”
