Mumbai Hosts Miss Sake India 2026: Nishita Antarkar Wins Prestigious Title

Miss Sake India 2026 title was awarded to the Nishita Yogesh Antarkar at a prestigious event which was held in Mumbai on the April 17, 2026. The event was organized by the Hirohama India Pvt. Ltd. and it highlighted the growing cultural ties between the India and Japan. It is just more than just the beauty pageant and the Miss Sake India serves as the platform to promote Japanese sake culture and cross-cultural understanding with winners acting as the ambassadors of tradition and global friendship.

Nishita Antarkar Crowned Miss Sake India 2026

The grand event was took place at Robata Kuuraku where the Nishita Yogesh Antarkar from Mumbai was crowned the new cultural ambassador of Japanese sake in India.

Nishita who is the business owner and trained Kathak dancer brings the unique blend of artistic excellence and cultural curiosity.

As she had the over 16 years of experience in Kathak and a passion for the languages and global traditions she represents the modern yet rooted cultural identity.

She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Akansha Shrivastava who marks the graceful transition of responsibility.

Distinguished Guests Highlight Indo-Japanese Relations

The ceremony was attended by the several important personalities and showcases the importance of the event to strengthening the India-Japan cultural diplomacy.

Key attendees included in the event,

  • Toshihiro Kaneko, Acting Consul General of Japan in Mumbai
  • Chisato Tateno
  • Mika Onishii
  • Mika Eoka, a renowned sake sommelier

During the event Kaneko have emphasized the deep-rooted cultural similarities between India and Japan and also highlights the ongoing collaborations which is focused on sustainable and regional development.

More Than a Pageant Platform

The event was introduced by the Kojiro Honda who had explained that Miss Sake is not merely the competition but a cultural bridge between nations.

Now organized for the third consecutive year in India and the initiative aims to the,

  • Promote the awareness of Japanese sake traditions.
  • And also encourage the cross-cultural dialogue.
  • Also strengthen people-to-people connections between the nations.

Runners-Up and Finalists

The competition has featured the seven talented finalists each of the contestant brings the unique perspectives and skills.

The runners-up were,

  • Priyanka Sarkar, a chef from Bangalore
  • Sakshi Khari a storyteller and Japanese language enthusiast from the Delhi
