On 14th of July, 2026, India is set to observe 3rd NAMASTE Day, with this it marks three years since the launch of the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) Scheme. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will lead the nationwide celebrations with the main event taking place at the Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, West Bengal. The observance of the day recognizes the invaluable contribution of sanitation workers along with reinforcing the government’s commitment to safer, mechanized, and dignified sanitation services all across the country.
