Narendra Bhooshan Appointed Secretary, Department of Land Resources

On 6th of April, 2026 Senior IAS officer Narendra Bhooshan has assumed the charge as the Secretary of the Department of Land Resources. This department functions under the Ministry of Rural Development. He is the 1992-batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre and brings over the three decades of administrative experience across critical sectors.

About the Department of Land Resources

The Department of Land Resources (DoLR) plays the crucial role to managing land related policies and reforms in India.

Its key functions include the,

  • Land reforms and digitization of land records
  • Implementation of the watershed development program
  • To poromoting the sustainable land use practices
  • And supporting rural livelihoods via better land management
