Narendra Modi Oath Ceremony: Who will Attend The Event
Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take oath of office on June 9, in the national capital in the presence of a host of foreign dignitaries, including the heads of several neighbouring countries. He is expected to meet these visiting foreign leaders the next day.
The heads of governments of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius and Seychelles are among the neighbours who have been invited for Narendra Modi’s swearing ceremony.
The leaders of regional grouping SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries attended Modi’s first swearing ceremony when he took the reins as the prime minister after a massive electoral victory for BJP.
Leaders of the BIMSTEC countries attended Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, in 2019 when he became Prime Minister for the second consecutive term.
