NCW Launches Digital Shakti Center to Combat Cybercrimes Against Women

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has inaugurated the Digital Shakti Center in New Delhi to address the rising cybercrimes against women. This initiative aims to empower women with cyber safety knowledge, provide support for complaint registration, and create a safe digital environment.

Addressing the Cybercrime Challenge

Rising Cybercrimes: The alarming increase in cybercrimes against women in India prompted the establishment of the Digital Shakti Center.

NCW’s Role: The NCW has been actively working to combat these crimes through the Digital Shakti campaign since 2018.

Center’s Focus: The new center will offer comprehensive cyber safety education, practical technology training, and support for cybercrime victims.

Empowering Women Through Digital Literacy

Skill Development: The Digital Shakti Center provides training on emerging technologies, cyber safety, data privacy, and digital rights.

Community Building: It fosters a supportive community of women engaged in cybersecurity and technology.

Digital Shakti 5.0: The center serves as the hub for the Digital Shakti 5.0 campaign, aiming to empower 10 lakh women across India.
