Neeraj Chopra, India’s Olympic gold medallist in javelin, delivered yet another memorable performance at the 2025 Zurich Diamond League Final, securing second place with a dramatic final throw of 85.01m. Despite not breaching the elusive 90m mark, the 27-year-old extended his remarkable streak to 26 consecutive top-two finishes in international competitions, reinforcing his dominance in world athletics.
The Zurich event witnessed a spectacular performance from Germany’s Julian Weber, who stole the spotlight with two throws over the 90m mark, including a season-best 91.51m, clinching first place.
Initially in third place, Neeraj overtook Keshorn Walcott with his last throw, demonstrating his trademark composure under pressure.
