Odisha to Host Regional AI Impact Conference on December 19–20

The Odisha government will host the Regional AI Impact Conference from December 19 to 20. Positioning the state as a key contributor to India’s emerging artificial intelligence ecosystem in governance and public service delivery. The Electronics and IT Department on 17th December held a curtain-raiser event, outlining Odisha’s AI vision, policy roadmap, and growing portfolio of real-world AI applications.

Odisha’s AI Vision and Policy Direction

  • Electronics and IT Minister Mukesh Mahaling said Odisha is adopting a future-ready approach to technology-led growth.
  • He highlighted that the Odisha AI Policy 2025, along with supportive policies in FinTech, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and advanced electronics, is creating a responsible and investor-friendly environment for AI adoption.
  • The state aims to build a complete AI innovation ecosystem backed by strong governance, advanced digital capabilities, and long-term policy certainty.
