Haryana has a long railway history, and Rewari Junction is the oldest railway station in the state. It was set up in 1873 and is located in Rewari city. This important station helps connect Haryana with many other parts of India. Rewari Junction comes under the North Western Railway Zone and is situated on the busy Delhi–Ajmer–Ahmedabad railway route, making it a key stop for both passengers and goods trains.

History of Rewari Junction

Rewari Junction was founded in 1873 after the Rajputana State Railway laid a metre-gauge track from Delhi to Rewari in 1872. It became a junction when the railway line was extended to Alwar and Bandikui in 1874, and further to Jaipur and Ajmer in 1875. Over the years, the station expanded and became a major hub for both passengers and freight trains.

The station is located 82.3 km southwest of Old Delhi. It connects several major cities, including:
