Paytm E-commerce Rebrands as Pai Platforms, Acquires Bitsila

Paytm E-commerce has undergone a significant transformation, renaming itself as Pai Platforms. Alongside this rebranding, it has acquired Bitsila, a prominent seller platform operating within the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

Name Change

  • Paytm E-commerce Private Limited officially becomes Pai Platforms Private Limited, following approval from the Registrar of Companies on February 8.
  • The company’s original incorporation under the name Paytm E-Commerce Private Limited marks its evolution into Pai Platforms.

Acquisition of Bitsila

  • Pai Platforms’ acquisition of Bitsila, established in 2020, solidifies its position within the ONDC ecosystem.
  • Bitsila, known for its full-stack omnichannel and hyperlocal commerce capabilities, supports major brands like McDonald’s and BigBasket on ONDC.

Enhanced Commerce Play

  • The acquisition amplifies Pai Platforms’ presence as a leading buyer platform on the ONDC network.
  • Bitsila’s robust capabilities enable it to oversee over 600 million product categories across 10,000+ stores in 30+ cities, spanning sectors such as grocery, food and beverages, fashion, beauty, BPC, and home decor.
