In anticipation of the Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, PhonePe has partnered with ICICI Lombard General Insurance to offer specialized insurance coverage for attendees. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive and affordable protection for millions of devotees participating in this significant spiritual gathering.

    • Train or Bus Travelers: ₹59 per traveler
    • Domestic Flight Travelers: ₹99 per traveler

  • Valid from January 13 to February 26, 2025

Coverage Inclusions

    • Hospitalization: Up to ₹50,000
    • Outpatient Department (OPD) Treatment: Up to ₹1,500
    • Personal Accident Cover: Up to ₹1 lakh (including death and permanent total disability)
    • Trip Cancellation: Up to ₹5,000
    • Repatriation of Remains: Up to ₹10,000
    • Loss of Checked-in Baggage: Up to ₹5,000 (for domestic flight travelers)
    • Missed Connecting Flight: Up to ₹5,000 (for domestic flight travelers)

How to Avail the Insurance

  1. Open the PhonePe app and navigate to the “Insurance” section.
  2. Select “Maha Kumbh” Insurance.
  3. Review the product details and click on “Buy now.”
  4. Choose the plan based on your mode of travel and enter traveler details.
  5. Complete the payment process to activate the coverage.

This insurance plan is available for purchase until February 25, 2025, ensuring coverage throughout the duration of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
