PM Modi, Anthony Albanese Hold Third India-Australia Annual Summit, Expand Strategic Partnership Across Key Sectors

India and Australia have strengthened their bilateral relationship. Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese held the third India-Australia Annual Summit in Melbourne. Both leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to expand the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) via deeper cooperation in areas like trade, defence, critical technologies, clean energy, education and people-to-people ties.

PM Modi Receives Ceremonial Welcome in Australia

Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Melbourne for the high-level bilateral summit and he was accorded with a ceremonial welcome at Government House.

The visit included the,

  • One-on-one discussions between PM Modi and PM Anthony Albanese.
  • Delegation-level talks, which involve senior ministers and officials from both countries.
  • Review of the bilateral cooperation since the launch of the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2020.
