PM Modi Inaugurates Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the seventh edition of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) in Patna, Bihar. This edition, marking a significant milestone for the state, features 27 medal sports and the introduction of esports as a demonstration event. Hosted across multiple cities, the Games have drawn more than 10,000 participants, including over 6,000 athletes, from across India. This event marks Bihar’s first major multi-discipline sports hosting, reinforcing its potential as a major sports hub in India.
The Khelo India Youth Games 2025 are being hosted in Bihar for the first time, showcasing the state’s growing prominence in sports infrastructure and talent development. The event aligns with the national vision of increasing sports participation and excellence at the grassroots level. With Bihar contributing significantly to the Khelo India program, the Games provide a platform for local athletes to showcase their potential.
