PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ Sets Guinness World Record with 3.53 Crore Registrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has achieved a historic milestone by setting a Guinness World Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The 8th edition of the program, held earlier this year, received an extraordinary 3.53 crore valid registrations on the MyGov platform, showcasing the immense popularity and trust in this unique educational movement.
The Guinness World Record was officially presented at a grand ceremony in New Delhi, attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and I&B Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada, along with senior officials from the Ministries of Education and Electronics & IT. The recognition was validated by Rishi Nath, the official adjudicator of Guinness World Records.
This achievement has not only brought global recognition but also placed India at the forefront of citizen-driven educational engagement.
Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a global platform where Prime Minister Modi directly interacts with students, parents, and teachers. The core idea is to reduce exam-related stress and promote a joyful and holistic learning experience. The 2025 edition of PPC witnessed an overwhelming response with over 21 crore viewership across media platforms, making it one of the largest educational outreach initiatives in India. PPC is a transformative step in making exams a celebration of learning rather than a source of anxiety. PPC fosters well-being and career awareness, especially during India’s Amrit Kaal, and said the Guinness recognition reflects the public trust in the program.
The initiative is closely aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes stress-free and experiential learning instead of rote memorization.
During the interactive sessions, PM Modi addresses critical topics such as,
These discussions provide practical guidance not only for students but also for teachers and parents, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
Over the years, Pariksha Pe Charcha has transformed from being an annual event into a nationwide movement. It carries the powerful message that examinations are not the end but a new beginning in the journey of learning and growth.
The Ministry of Education, along with other key stakeholders, credited the record-breaking success of PPC to the collective commitment of the nation towards building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) through inclusive and holistic education.
