Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Micron Technology’s Semiconductor Assembly, Test, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) facility in Sanand which is in Gujarat on 28 February 2026. The launch marks the start of commercial production and a significant milestone in India’s semiconductor journey. The Prime Minister described the facility as a turning point in India’s shift from software strength to hardware leadership, reinforcing the country’s growing role in the global semiconductor value chain.
