PNB Appoints Harmanpreet Kaur as Its First-Ever Female Brand Ambassador
In a landmark announcement, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has appointed Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, as its first female brand ambassador. This move reflects the bank’s expanding emphasis on women empowerment, brand modernisation, and customer engagement.
The declaration took place at PNB’s corporate office in New Delhi, during a ceremony themed “Banking On Champions.” Kaur was presented with a framed PNB jersey featuring her name and number, symbolising her induction into the bank’s identity.
The ceremony was attended by PNB’s senior leadership, including:
Ashok Chandra, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Executive Directors M. Paramasivam, Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, D. Surendran, and Amit Kumar Srivastava

Their presence highlighted the institutional importance of the partnership.
During the event, Kaur unveiled four major offerings aimed at strengthening PNB’s digital and premium customer services:
PNB RuPay Metal Credit Card Luxura – PNB’s first-ever metal credit card designed for elite customers
PNB One 2.0 – An upgraded digital banking platform
Digi Surya Ghar – A service supporting solar-based solutions
PNB’s onboarding on the IIBX portal – Enabling participation in gold bullion online trading
These launches align with PNB’s vision of innovation, digital-first solutions, and customer-centric services.
Calling the moment “surreal,” Harmanpreet shared that she has been banking with PNB since she was 18 years old and opened her first account at PNB Moga branch.
She emphasised:
PNB’s legacy of supporting financial aspirations
Its focus on empowering women and youth
Her excitement in working to inspire future champions
She also became the first customer of the new Luxura Metal Credit Card.
