Post Payments Bank & EPFO Launch Free Doorstep Service
In a move set to enhance ease of living for senior citizens, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 3 November 2025 to provide free doorstep submission of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) for pensioners under the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS-95).
The process to generate and submit a Digital Life Certificate is designed to be simple and tech-enabled,
The entire cost of issuing the certificate will be borne by EPFO, making this service completely free for pensioners.
This MoU aligns with several national goals,
By combining the reach of IPPB with the social security framework of EPFO, the government is taking concrete steps to ensure that senior citizens are not left behind in the digital transformation.
