President Droupadi Murmu Launches New Initiatives at Rashtrapati Bhavan to Mark Four Years of Presidency
To commemorate the completion of four years as the President of India, President Droupadi Murmu launched a series of citizen-centric and sustainability-focused initiatives at Rashtrapati Bhavan and the President’s Estates in New Delhi. The initiatives aim to improve visitor experience, preserve India’s heritage, promote sustainability, and enhance public engagement with Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India on 25 July 2022 and made history as the first tribal President of the country.

To mark the occasion, President Murmu launched several initiatives aimed at improving accessibility, sustainability, and visitor engagement.
A digital audio guide designed to provide visitors with detailed information about Rashtrapati Bhavan, its history, architecture, and important locations through a mobile application.
The third edition of e-Upahaar, a digital initiative that enables transparent and efficient management of gifts and mementos received during official engagements.
A dedicated child-friendly space developed to promote learning, creativity, and interactive experiences for children visiting Rashtrapati Bhavan.
RAAHI is a new initiative aimed at improving connectivity between heritage locations within the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex, making it easier for visitors to explore its historical and cultural landmarks.
As part of India’s sustainability goals, a Net Zero Energy Strategy has been introduced for the service block at Rashtrapati Bhavan to promote energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
Infrastructure and accommodation facilities within the President’s Estates have also been upgraded to improve functionality, accessibility, and visitor convenience.
On the occasion, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan released a set of five commemorative books documenting President Droupadi Murmu’s journey and initiatives during her four-year tenure.
The first copies of the publications were presented to the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
