Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launches Ganga Expressway Project in Uttar Pradesh
Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi have inaugurated the ambitious Ganga Expressway in Hardoi Uttar Pradesh on the 29th April, 2026. This expressway spanning around the 594 km and this six-lane (which is expandable to eight in future) expressway is one of the India’s longest greenfield corridors. This project was built at the cost of ₹36,230 crore and this project is set to revolutionize the connectivity between the western and eastern Uttar Pradesh along with boosting the economic growth, reducing travel time and to strengthen the logistics infrastructure across the state.
The Ganga Expressway is the high-speed and access-controlled corridor which connects Meerut to the Prayagraj and it is passing through the 12 key districts.
This seamless corridor integrates the Western, Central and the Eastern Uttar Pradesh and will creating the unified transport network.
One of the main advantages of this expressway is the significant reduction in travel time.
