The Pusa Decontamination and Sanitizing Tunnel has been inaugurated by the Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Framers’ Welfare, Shri Kailash Choudhary. The Pusa Decontamination and Sanitizing Tunnel has been developed by Division of Agricultural Engineering, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.

About Pusa Decontamination and Sanitizing Tunnel:
The Pusa Decontamination and Sanitizing Tunnel which has been developed by Division of Agricultural Engineering, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, comprises of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QAC) at concentration level of 0.045%, as per the recommendations of the Health Department. The sanitization protocol constitutes of hand washing with foot-operated soap and water dispenser along with fogging in a sanitizing tunnel for 20 seconds.
