Rajnath Singh Inaugurates IDAX-24 Expo in Jodhpur
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the India Defence Aviation Exposition (IDAX-24) at Jodhpur on September 12, 2024. This major event coincides with Exercise Tarang Shakti-24, one of the largest multinational air exercises hosted by the Indian Air Force. The IDAX-24, running from September 12-14, showcases significant advancements and contributions of the Indian aviation industry.
The exposition features a grand display of products and technologies from Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), private industries, and top startups. It provides a platform for both domestic and international participants to engage with the latest aviation advancements.
Earlier, Singh emphasized that the multinational Exercise Tarang Shakti is designed to enhance mutual cooperation, coordination, and trust among partner countries. During the Distinguished Visitors’ Day of the exercise, Singh highlighted its role in reinforcing defense ties and fostering confidence among participating nations.
The Defence Minister, along with the three Army Chiefs of India and foreign Air Force Chiefs, will witness the air show featuring Suryakiran, Sarang, indigenous fighter aircraft Tejas, and Sukhoi-30. The exercise includes the participation of air forces from seven major countries—USA, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UAE, and Greece—and 16 countries as observers. The event also aims to display the indigenous skills and spirit of the Indian aviation industry to a global audience.
