RBI Appoints Ravi Shankar as New Executive Director

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Ravi Shankar as its new Executive Director (ED) and his new role be effective from 1st of July, 2026. He is a experienced central banker and having over three decades of experience. He has been promoted from his previous position as role as Adviser-In-Charge of the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM).

Ravi Shankar’s Appointed as Executive Director

The Reserve Bank of India has announced the appointment of the Ravi Shankar as Executive Director and it effective July 1, 2026.

Before taking this role he served as the Adviser-In-Charge of the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM).
