Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta has been appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi, marking the BJP’s return to power after 27 years. The party secured a clear majority with 44 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections held on February 8, 2025. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at Ramlila Maidan on February 20, with a grand event inspired by the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration.
