Sanju Samson Wins ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2026 After T20 World Cup Heroics
T20 World Cup 2026 Player of the Tournament Sanju Samson has been awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2026. This award recognize him for his outstanding match winning performances in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. From not part of the team initially and given chance and scored three consecutive match winning fifties which helped team India to lift the trophy for the Consecutive times.
Sanju Samson delivered the sensational performance during the last phase of the tournament. He scored 321 runs overall and emerging as a key player in vital matches.
In the March month alone he scored 275 runs in just three matches at an average of 137.50 and with the strike rate close to 200 which showcase his dominance in the T20 cricket.
Samson have played several impactful innings in the tournament. His unbeaten 97 against the West Indies in virtually quarter final helped team India to reach the semi-finals. In semis he played the 89-run knocks against England and New Zealand shows the resistance against the big teams.
These performances have earned him Player of the Match award and also adjudged with the Player of the Tournament awards.
When the tournament was started he was not a regular in the playing XI. Samson got the opportunity during the Super 8 stage and he stamped his position by his performance..
