In a strategic move to capitalize on the rapid economic growth in India and fortify its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Intel Corporation has announced the appointment of new executives for its Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group (SMG). This reorganization is part of the company’s ongoing transformation initiatives.
Hans Chuang has been named the General Manager of SMG for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, effective immediately. Based in Taiwan, Hans will oversee Intel’s entire operations in the Asia-Pacific area, driving revenue growth, fostering new opportunities within the local ecosystem, and strengthening relationships with existing partners and customers.
With an MBA from McGill University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia, Hans brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. “Intel is transforming, and I am excited to lead the company’s growth and innovation in APJ, one of the most diverse and fastest-growing regions for Intel,” said Hans.
Recognizing India’s rapid economic development, Intel has designated the country as a distinct region within its SMG organization. Santhosh Viswanathan has been appointed as the Vice President and Managing Director for the India region, leveraging his experience to promote value and customer-centricity.
“We see massive business opportunities and growing momentum in India. By creating a separate region, we are enabling our teams, including our strong engineering base in India, to work closely with our customers. It is a very exciting time for Intel in India, and I am thrilled to lead our business in the country,” said Santhosh.
With a master’s degree in business administration and an engineering degree in industrial engineering and management, Santhosh brings a wealth of leadership experience to his new role.
The appointments of Hans Chuang and Santhosh Viswanathan to lead Intel’s SMG organizations in the Asia-Pacific and India regions, respectively, underscore the company’s strategy of aligning organizational structures with evolving market conditions. By leveraging its internal leadership talent, Intel aims to enhance its responsiveness and effectiveness in addressing the specific opportunities and challenges within each region, positioning itself for long-term success in these growing markets.
Both Hans and Santhosh are renowned for their commitment to meeting the needs of Intel’s customers and their extensive leadership experience within the company. This strategic realignment positions Intel to capitalize on the immense potential offered by the Asia-Pacific and Indian markets, fostering growth and innovation while delivering exceptional value to its customers.
