To deal with the situation of flood, Delhi Government has imposed the Section 144 CrPC in the flood prone areas. Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal called for a high-level meeting on rising water level in Yamuna. He chaired the emergency meeting in Secretariat to monitor the flood situation and ministers, mayor and officials from from various departments were present.
Water is entering to Delhi from Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Delhi’s CM has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to request him to reduce the flow of water entering Delhi. There are several places affected by the rise in water level in the Yamuna River.
