Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026: Objectives, Dates, Impact and Key Details
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 is a nation-wide campaign on public service and outreach which is to be held during the period of 17 September to 17 October 2026. The one-month campaign celebrates the 25 years of public service of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The theme of the program revolves around public welfare, social service, awareness of the government schemes, participation and entrepreneurship among the youth. The campaign also reflects on the overall vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, motivating citizens especially youth to take part in community development through ground activities and volunteering.
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 is a nation-wide public service and outreach campaign where citizens, volunteers along with social and public institutions participate.
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 will run for one month starting from 17 September 2026 and ending on 17 October 2026. The starting days of the campaign coincide with Seva Pakhwada where 15 days of service are celebrated from 17 September to 2 October.
This campaign is an effort to link the public service initiatives with building a developed nation by 2047.
1. Encouraging Participatory Governance
Another objective of the campaign is to encourage Jan Bhagidari, or participatory nation building efforts. The campaign will especially seek to encourage youth participation in community activities and public service.
2. Raising Awareness of Government Schemes
One objective of the campaign will be to raise awareness regarding welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, particularly those aimed at benefiting farmers, youth, workers, etc.

One of the objectives of the campaign will be to highlight India’s economy and its digital ecosystem. It will emphasize the importance of youth, startups, technology and digital innovations for economic growth in India.
MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) platform offers an opportunity for youths to be involved in the campaign as volunteers.
Youths can sign up for the platform by providing their mobile phone number or email id and get an opportunity to explore activities in their locality. These activities may comprise of health camps, cleanliness drive and governance awareness programme.
Through this strategy, it is intended to reach out to young volunteers and motivate them to involve in community services.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Campaign is based on the concept of Viksit Bharat @2047 which aims at development of India as a developed country by 2047.
Citizenship, social welfare, youth engagement, entrepreneurship and awareness about government initiatives form the essence of development, which requires participation outside the realm of government organizations.
This campaign is important due to the importance attached to participation of citizens and development at the grassroots level. The campaign will give opportunities for youth to take part in service activities and know about governance.
