Women’s Singles: An Se-young’s Domination

An Se-young continued her exceptional 2025 run by defeating China’s Wang Zhiyi in just 42 minutes. With a commanding scoreline of 21-12, 21-10, she secured her sixth title from seven BWF tournaments this year, demonstrating unmatched consistency and fitness. Her dominance reaffirms South Korea’s strength in women’s badminton.

China’s Overall Success

China emerged as the most successful nation at the event. Besides Shi’s men’s singles win and Wang Zhiyi’s silver, they captured two more golds in doubles,

  • Women’s Doubles: Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning defended their title, defeating Malaysia’s Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan.
  • Mixed Doubles: Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin won an intense final against Thailand’s Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran.
