Shooting Legend Jaspal Rana Passes Away at 49, Indian Sports Mourns
Jaspal Rana who was country’s one of the greatest shooters and most respected coaches, he passed away at the age of 49. He was a Asian Games gold medallist and Dronacharya Award recipient and passed away on 11th June, 2026. He recently undergoing the medical procedure after the health complications during his return from the ISSF World Cup in Munich. His contribution extended far beyond his own achievements and he played the pivotal role to shaping the India’s next generation of shooting champions which includes Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker.
Jaspal Rana was among the India’s most successful pistol shooters and he was pioneer of the Indian shooting on the international stage.
