Telangana Football Association To Host FIFA World Cup Qualifiers In Hyderabad
The Telangana Football Association (TFA) has achieved a significant milestone by securing approval to host the FIFA World Cup qualifiers round between India and Kuwait. The match is scheduled to take place on June 6th of this year in Hyderabad, announced Dr. K.T. Mahi, Chairman of TFA.
Dr. Mahi, along with TFA secretary Mr. G.P. Palguna, held constructive discussions with the Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Revanth Reddy, who himself has a background in football. Their discussions centered on the logistical and financial aspects of hosting such a prestigious event.
Following the discussions, the Chief Minister expressed his support for the event, clearing the path for the historic match. The State Government, after a meeting between Dr. Mahi, Mr. Palguna, Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim IPS, OSD, and Mr. Ajith Reddy, confirmed its backing for the initiative.
Dr. Mahi extended gratitude to the President of the All India Football Federation, Kalyan Chaubey, for entrusting TFA with this unique opportunity. The cooperation between TFA and AIFF has been crucial in bringing this event to fruition.
