Implementation Details: Free 200 Units for BPL Card Holders

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the Gruha Jyothi Scheme’s free electricity component will be set in motion from the beginning of February. As a part of this scheme, every household possessing a Below Poverty Line (BPL) card will receive 200 units of electricity free of charge starting February. For households with electricity consumption within the 200-unit threshold, there will be no electricity charges.

Congress Government’s Commitment: Accelerating Welfare Schemes

During a meeting of the Manifesto Committee of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) in Hyderabad, officials, including Deepa Dasmunshi from the All India Congress Committee (AICC), discussed the progress of various guarantee schemes. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy emphasized that the Congress Government has not only successfully implemented free TSRTC Bus travel for women but is also expediting the implementation of other welfare schemes.
