Uber to provide transportation service to public healthcare workers

The National Health Authority (NHA) has signed an agreement with “Uber” to provide transportation service to public healthcare workers. As per agreement, Uber will provide transportation services to frontline healthcare workers who are involved in treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Uber will provide the transportation services via UberMedic cars. Initially Uber will provide 150 cars free of cost to support medical facilities in certain cities. The UberMedic cars will be equipped with roof-to-floor plastic sheet, enclosing the driver’s seat. The roof-to-floor plastic sheet will act as a protective barrier between the rider and driver. Every car will be disinfected after every ride to ensure the safety and hygiene of the passengers as well as driver.
